Quality Assurance Governance Officer
  • Hourly Rate: £23.03 PAYE or £28.72 Umbrella
  • Location: Barnsley
  • Job Type: Hybrid (3 days in office minimum)

Join the Quality Assurance and Improvement Service at Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, focusing on Social Care and Safeguarding services. This role is integral in supporting children's social care services, targeted early help, and services for children with special educational needs and disabilities. As a Quality Assurance Governance Officer, you will play a key role in delivering the work of the Barnsley Safeguarding Partnerships.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work within the Multi Agency Quality Assurance Framework and programme of auditing.
  • Develop and provide analysis of the partnership data scorecard.
  • Participate in multi-agency audits, ensuring they are planned, coordinated, and delivered in line with the partnership priorities and scrutiny recommendations.
  • Manage the multi-agency audit schedule and workplan.
  • Review single agency and multi-agency audits, providing analysis of key findings.
  • Present audit findings in written reports to various groups and stakeholders.
  • Support the work of the multi-agency Audit and Performance work group.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in quality assurance within social care or similar fields.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and analyse data scorecards.
  • Proven ability to conduct and manage audits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report writing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
