Quality Assurance Assessor

We are looking to recruit for a Lead Quality Assurance Assessor with a strong background in business and management. Previous experience as an NVQ assessor and/or training advisor is highly desirable.

Duties:

1. Co-ordinate internal quality assurance activities within the delivery team.
2. Ensure qualifications are completed in line with the relevant assessment strategy.
3. Plan and undertake observations of teaching, learning and assessment practices.
4. Manage sampling and complete internal quality assurance and observation records in line with internal and external requirements.
5. Prepare clear and well-written IQA reports, with sufficient detail to support and improve performance.
6. Prepare for and manage EQA visits.
7. Advise the Manager of staff training and support needs.
8. Participate in monthly team meetings.
9. Support a small caseload of apprentices.
10. Conduct scheduled visits to employers for learning delivery, assessment, and apprentice reviews in line with quality and compliance requirements.

Skills needed:

1. IQA and Assessor Qualifications TAQA Level 3 or equivalent.
2. Experience of teaching and assessment.
3. Full Driving Licence and use of own vehicle with added business insurance.
4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills and be confident in dealing with a wide range of contacts.
5. Excellent IT skills and digital literacy.
6. Strong organisational and planning skills.
