QA Tester - Hybrid - Belfast

6 Temporary Contract | £28-29K per annum (pro rata)
Public Sector multiple positions

The Equip Programme is a major regional transformation initiative across Health and Social Care (HSC), aiming to deliver a single, integrated cloud-based ERP system. This solution will replace existing systems covering Finance, Procurement & Logistics, HR, Pay, and Travel Management.

With over 76,000 employees across 16 HSC organisations, this is one of the largest and most complex ERP implementations in the UK public sector.

About the Role

As a QA Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the new system is fit for purpose by testing the vendor-supplied platform before it is rolled out across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early career experience in QA or software testing to be part of a transformative programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Support testing activities for a third-party software product
• Create and execute test cases and scripts
• Identify, log, and track defects
• Document test results and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendor teams
• Assist in feedback collection and issue resolution

What You'll Need

• 1+ year in QA, software testing, or technical support
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel & Word)
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Experience with test planning, defect logging, and stakeholder engagement
• Exposure to tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps is a plus

Desirable

• ISTQB Foundation Certificate (or working towards it)
• Experience with vendor-supplied systems
• Interest in progressing into QA or Business Analysis
• A team-player mindset - everyone chips in where needed!
