Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Shropshire – Looked after Children Team

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting registered and experienced Qualified Social Workers to join a busy team at a Shropshire based Looked after Children Team.

What will your responsibilities be?

  1. Take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels.
  2. Manage time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs.
  3. Provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager.
  4. Actively participate in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews.
  5. Follow departmental health and safety procedures.
  6. Develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing.
  7. Contribute to information management processes.
  8. Support social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained.
  9. Understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with children and families, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.

Qualifications and Experiences:

To be eligible for this role, you must have Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. Additionally, you need to hold a full UK driving licence and possess post-qualified experience. A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
