Job description

We are looking to recruit a Safeguarding Social Worker within the Social Care Industry. Our client has a well-structured and organised team that is looking to grow their staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. Cornwall Council is embedding a systemic approach and is currently undergoing a number of changes focused on reducing caseloads and improving outcomes for families. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Cornwall Council.


Main duties include:

  1. Care Act compliant Assessing skills & experience
  2. Ability to complete safeguarding adults enquiries
  3. Risk assessing skills & experience
  4. Mental Capacity Assessments and Best interest decision making skills & experience
  5. The social work interventions will focus on investigating safeguarding Adults concerns.
