We are looking for a Qualified Science teacher to provide online tutoring to our students. QTS essential and Examining experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support
To provide tutoring for Biology and Chemistry at GCSE, A-Level and Scottish Equivalents, as 1-on-1 tuition by our Qualified Science teachers
Develop personalised lesson plans based on the individual needs and learning styles of each student
To provide an initial assessment and monthly progress reports to students and parents in accordance to our company framework
Assist students with homework assignments and test preparation
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs

Science Teacher Qualifications:

Applicants at a minimum must be studying towards an undergraduate degree level in their chosen subject of tutoring.
PGCE and QTS is essential for our Qualified Science teacher position
Criminal reference check: Applicants must be a member of the PVG scheme (Disclosure Scotland) or be on the DBS update service.

Experience and Qualities:

Experience working with children and young people, preferably in an educational setting or in a tutoring capacity is essential for our Qualified teacher position.
Familiarity with UK Exam boards (AQA, OCR, EDEXCEL and SQA) is essential
Familiarity with the examination system at GCSE, A-Level and Scottish equivalents is essential
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of various teaching methods and learning styles
Patience and the ability to work well with students of different ages and abilities
Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs
Applicants must be adaptable to online platforms including Microsoft Teams
