Job description

Xpert Education are looking for a Qualified Nursery Teacher to work in a lovely 2 form entry school in South East London (Southwark). It is on a 1 year contact starting ASAP with the possibility to extend after.

You will:

  1. Have a proven, clear understanding of what constitutes outstanding teaching and learning.
  2. Have highly developed inter-personal skills, effective organisational skills and the ability to lead, inspire and support colleagues.
  3. Have an excellent understanding of the curriculum and be dedicated to raising attainment.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The school offers a good staff support and training package and has a well-resourced and structured programme for NQTs.

As a Nursery teacher, you will develop the social and communication skills of the children while providing a safe and secure environment in which the child can learn. You will build and maintain relationships with parents/guardians to further support pupils as well as operate within multi-agency networks to ensure the correct support is available. You will record observations and summarise the children’s achievements, focusing on optimum child development and preparation for a successful transition to primary school education.
