Nursery: Bright Horizons Barford Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: £12.19- £12.66 per hour

Location: Warwick, CV35

We are looking for Bank Level 2 or above qualified Practitioners to join our wonderful Barford Day Nursery and Preschool. This nursery is situated in a lovely village in Warwick, with other nearby towns including Wellesbourne, Leamington Spa, and Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Our 45 place Nursery is proudly rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted, and due to its cosy village location has a lovely homely feel, including a peaceful garden. It also has some great extra-curricular activities on offer, such as football and music!

What you’ll be doing

  • Support Nursery colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS, by engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones, and ensuring their safety throughout the day
  • Work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands, i.e., hygiene standards and room preparation
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – such as Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nanny, Childminder, or similar
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
  • Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
