About the Role

We are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our team.

The person will be responsible for carrying out Choice and Suitability assessments that may lead into Partnership working with children and adolescents who present with emotional, psychological and/or mental health difficulties.

The post-holder will oversee the formulation, treatment and management plans for children and young people being supported using a range of specialist psychological interventions appropriate to a CAMH Service.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Accredited or eligible to apply for accreditation with the BABCP as CBT psychotherapist.
  • Knowledge and awareness regarding mental health problems and their impact on young people and their families.
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of therapeutic interventions and their application to practice for a wide range of mental health presentations, including a sound knowledge of theory and its application to evidence-based practice.
  • Experience of providing effective interventions, facilitating group work, training and consultation.
  • Ability and experience of working with a range of agencies and other professionals and forming positive working relationships.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
