Job Title: Secondary Core Subject Teacher (Maths, English, or Science)
Location: East Lancashire (Various Schools)
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time


About the Role:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Core Subject Teachers (Maths, English, or Science) to join dynamic secondary school teams across East Lancashire. In this role, you will deliver high-quality lessons in your chosen subject area (Maths, English, or Science) across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring students to achieve their best and supporting their academic development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to raising standards and fostering a love for learning in their subject area.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in your specialist subject area (Maths, English, or Science) to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  2. Differentiating lessons to cater to the needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support for further improvement.
  4. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of the subject.
  5. Support students in their preparation for GCSE exams, offering guidance, resources, and revision strategies.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues across various schools to continually enhance and develop the core subject curriculum.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in your specialist subject area (Maths, English, or Science).
  2. Experience teaching your subject at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  3. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students.
  4. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  5. The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with SEN.
  6. A proactive, positive approach with a commitment to improving student outcomes.
