Seymour John is delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a manufacturing client who are looking to add a QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) Manager to their team. As a newly created position, due to continued growth this will be a pivotal role within the organisation with an emphasis on Quality. Working closely with senior management and production teams, you will be empowered to develop the role and grow within a friendly and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain HSQE policies and procedures in line with UK regulations (ISO 9001, looking to attain 140001)
  2. Conduct risk assessments, site audits, and workplace inspections, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  3. Conduct internal audits of the QMS to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve daily production issues on the shop floor & apply preventive measures where possible.
  5. Inspect and measure precision parts to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
  6. Random inspections on each process / operation throughout each day.
  7. Working closely with Operations & engineering on New Product Development.
  8. Provide training and support to employees to promote a safe working environment.
  9. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring lessons learned are communicated and improvements implemented.
  10. Ensure environmental compliance, reduce waste, and improve sustainability initiatives.
  11. Manage quality assurance processes, ensuring product and service standards meet customer and regulatory expectations.
  12. Liaise with senior management, external auditors, and regulatory bodies as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards in manufacturing, engineering, or construction industries.
  2. Experience with ISO standards and auditing, lean manufacturing, and quality control systems
  3. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence teams at all levels.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail.
  5. Ideally the use of working with FAIRS, PPAP & ISIR’s Documentation.
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  7. Knowledge of laser cutting and welding/fabrication processes
