Job description

Clas-SiC Wafer Fab Ltd, a cutting-edge manufacturing facility dedicated to Silicon Carbide (SiC) Power Semiconductor Devices, is seeking a proactive QHSE Advisor to join our Facilities & EHS department.

Based in Lochgelly, Fife, we're proud to be building a future-focused, high-tech operation with safety, quality, and environmental stewardship at its core. If you're passionate about creating a workplace where quality and safety drive innovation—this is the opportunity for you. As QHSE Advisor, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure world-class standards across Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental practices. From ISO systems to sustainability initiatives, from audits to incident investigations—you'll play a key role in shaping and safeguarding our operations.

Key Responsibilities

QHSE Management
  1. Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and standards.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
  3. Report on QHSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions.
Health and Safety
  1. Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification, implementing appropriate control measures.
  3. Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement preventative actions.
Quality Assurance
  1. Ensure products and services meet the highest quality standards.
  2. Maintain and improve quality management systems in line with ISO standards.
  3. Collaborate with production and operations to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement.
Environmental Responsibility
  1. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal policies.
  2. Lead initiatives that reduce environmental impact and support sustainability goals.
  3. Conduct environmental audits and impact assessments.
Training and Development
  1. Develop and deliver engaging QHSE training programs across all levels of the organisation.
  2. Stay up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practices.
  3. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and personal accountability.

We're looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills—someone who can engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels across the business. You'll be passionate about QHSE, technically sound, and driven by the desire to do things the right way, not just the easy way. The ideal candidate will bring integrity, a calm head in moments of ambiguity or crisis, and the ability to influence and lead when necessary. Strong organisational skills and a natural team spirit are essential, along with a collaborative mindset that ensures both personal and team success.

We recognise that strong QHSE professionals come from varied backgrounds, and we're open to speaking with candidates who may have developed their expertise primarily in quality. If you've been involved in implementing and maintaining quality systems and are now looking to broaden your skills in health and safety or environmental practices, this could be the perfect next step. Equally, if you already have a foundation in HSE and are keen to develop further within a high-tech manufacturing environment, we're keen to hear from you. It's more about the mindset and willingness to grow than ticking every box.
