QA Tester

Forsyth Barnes is seeking a QA Tester to join our team on a 3-month contract. The primary focus of this role is to independently test our document ingestion system that processes customer billing submissions to the Aptitude revenue recognition solution (FYNAPSE). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing data processing systems to ensure complete and accurate outputs.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Data Validation: Test and verify that customer billing submissions are correctly extracted, transformed, and loaded through the system.
2. End-to-End Testing: Ensure data passing through the system results in complete and accurate sales orders sent to the Aptitude revenue recognition solution.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, third-party test teams, and the project manager to communicate findings and suggest improvements.
4. Support Month-End Processing: Assist in testing and ensuring the smooth operation of month-end processing activities.
5. Process Customer Billing Submissions: Oversee the testing of customer billing submissions to confirm they are processed accurately and efficiently.
6. Documentation: Accurately document testing procedures, findings, and provide detailed reports.
7. Independent Testing: Plan and conduct testing activities independently while maintaining effective communication with the team.

Required Skills:

1. Experience in Data Testing: Proven experience in testing data processing systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
2. Understanding of ETL Processes: Knowledge of ETL data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
3. Attention to Detail: Ability to identify inconsistencies and errors in data outputs.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with the team.

Preferred Skills:

1. Azure Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services.
2. Power Automate Knowledge: Understanding of Power Automate for workflow automation.
