Job Description

Make your mark as QA/QC Advisor for Boskalis Subsea Services located in Aberdeen! As QA/QC Advisor, you will provide support, assistance and advice to the business and projects on quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) matters, ensuring that internal, client, legal and certification requirements are being met. You will be an excellent communicator, demonstrate a positive attitude and be able to manage your workload in a fast paced project environment.

Your responsibilities as a QA/QC Advisor are:

The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provide QA/QC support to the business, projects, tendering and the SHEQ department in all aspects of the QA/QC and manufacturing/fabrication processes
  2. Establish, develop and maintain project, tender and customer specific Quality Plans when required
  3. Interface with suppliers, including completion of supplier document reviews
  4. Management and control of equipment inspections of procured, rented and client free issue items
  5. Support functions and projects in planning for Quality
  6. Carry out internal and supplier audits, as assigned.
  7. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Opportunities for Improvement in line with service delivery or as a result of audit.

You can make your mark as QA/QC Advisor if you have:

  1. A relevant Quality Management qualification and relevant Auditor qualification
  2. Relevant experience of providing QA/QC advice in a dynamic project/company environment
  3. Knowledge and experience of fabrication practices and processes (desirable, but not essential)
  4. Knowledge and experience with IMCA standards (desirable, but not essential)
  5. Experience of equipment inspection and release including review of MRBs
  6. Ability to work using own initiative or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  7. Ability to effectively manage own workload, and work within given timescales (both internal and external), ensuring project requirements are met.

Extra information

  1. Your team: You will report to the Quality Lead and work closely together with Project Managers, Project Teams and the wider SHEQ Department.
  2. Where you will work: Your location will be our office in Aberdeen and you have the option to work from home 2 days per week. Fixed office days are Tuesday and Thursday's.
  3. Full-time job: The position of QA/QC Advisor is full time, 35 hours per week.
