About the role

We're seeking a talented and collaborative QA Engineer to join our London-based team. In this hybrid role, you'll help us build cutting-edge data streaming tools that simplify Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures for engineering teams. You'll ensure the quality of the innovative features the team delivers and collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, Backend, and Customer Success teams to create robust and scalable solutions.

For us, hybrid means being in the office together on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What will you be doing?
  • Develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests for the Console application.
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and build test plans to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of monthly releases.
  • Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes.
  • Contribute to enhancing our development practices.
  • Perform appropriate manual testing to complement automation.
What experience are we looking for?
  • Proven experience in QA engineering and test automation using TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks including Playwright (or Cypress, Selenium, etc. and a willingness to learn).
  • Familiarity with Docker, GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing of web applications.
  • Experience with API testing.
  • Experience of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
Nice to have
  • Confidence writing bash and similar scripts.
  • Experience with performance and load testing.
  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka or data streaming concepts.
