Python Engineer
Hybrid, London
Circa 100-115k Base + Bonus + Exceptional Benefits

Our client, an innovative global trading company with a dynamic Next-Gen UI platform is seeking an experienced Python Engineer in London.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance our developer productivity platform.
2. Develop software solutions that empower product teams to deliver features rapidly and reliably.
3. Ensure platform performance, security, and stability through robust testing and observability.
4. Design and implement APIs and web services to enhance platform functionality.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to platform operations.
6. Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating new technologies into the platform.
7. Contribute to platform documentation, including architecture, APIs, and best practices.
8. Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent platform challenges effectively.

Key Skills:

1. 3+ years in software development with a focus on platform engineering.
2. 2+ years designing, building, deploying, and automating infrastructure using infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
3. Proficiency in Python or Go, with a deep understanding of coding best practices.
4. Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
5. Strong understanding of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architecture.
6. Proficiency with Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
7. Real-world experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
8. Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges.
9. Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile teams.
