Job Description

We are now looking for a Front Office IT Strategist / Python Developer to join our team.

As part of its ambition to become a Top 3 contributor in the European ETF market, our client is continuously improving its ETF Market Making platform to better serve its clients.

In a team of seven IT strategists dedicated to the ETFs market making desk, the role consists of supporting, maintaining, and developing the trading environment used by the desk. In close relationship with traders, the IT strategist will have to use a broad range of technical skills to support day-to-day production, maintain and enhance the current Python core architecture (in-house libraries, scheduler, and caching system), and develop and implement efficient monitoring and analysis tools.

Development (~70%)

1. Maintain and enhance existing support, monitoring, and analysis tools
2. Work with traders/research on the requirements of new features/applications
3. Work on new projects to enhance the business (cover algo, ETF pricer setup)

Support (~30%)

1. Assist traders with L1/L2 support
2. Ensure trading systems are up and running at all times
3. Develop tools that help ensure systems are reliable and efficient
4. Rationalize and enhance platform reliability
5. Support the new pricing setup + the low latency platform

Qualifications

1. Strong knowledge of Linux (including development/debugging, scripting, and networking)
2. Strong knowledge and experience of core Python development
3. Knowledge of C++ code (at least as a reader)
4. Knowledge of SQL (Oracle)
