Purchasing Manager (Manufacturing)

£50,000 - £60,000 + Performance Related Bonus + Pension + 4 day Working Week (Fridays off)

Are you a Purchasing Manager from a Manufacturing background looking for full autonomy to take the reins and steer a £25 million procurement budget for a long-standing manufacturing industry leader offering a 4-day week?

An exciting opportunity to be a Key decision maker and oversee critical operations within an industry leader in Engineering and Manufacturing.

The Role:

  1. Manage procurement activities with an annual budget of £25 million and stock values between £3-4 million.
  2. Lead and develop a team focused on buying, purchasing, and stock control.
  3. Drive cost savings and efficiencies through strategic supplier contract negotiations and improvements.
  4. Implement and oversee a fully functional live-stock system and integrated warehouse.
  5. Play an active role in new product development initiatives from a supply management perspective.

The Person:
  1. Substantial experience in Purchasing within Manufacturing.
  2. Strong Management and project management skills, with a solid understanding of MRP & ERP systems.
  3. Skilled in negotiating and building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
