Purchasing Manager Vacancy in Newport, Wales

Receiving Associate ($20.00)
Position Summary:
The Receiving Associate at the Resort at Pelican Hill will receive, process, and distribute food, beverage, and operating supplies to various outlets throughout the resort. With an eye for detail and the ability to clean and organize, the Receiving Associate will maintain storage areas and communicate product outages to the Purchasing Supervisor. Safe handling of food and beverage products is a must, along with the ability to safely and regularly lift 50+ pounds. Working under the Purchasing Supervisor, this position will report ultimately to the Director of Purchasing.


Job Duties:

  1. Assist in completing receiving documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Follow up on delivery shortages and overages and process proper documents.
  3. Assist Food & Beverage in maintaining food quality per written specs and quantities per order guides and purchase orders.
  4. Maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout designated storage areas and loading dock.
  5. Responsible for rotation dating and accurate inventories of stock items.
  6. Perform other assigned duties by the Director of Purchasing or Purchasing Manager as needed.
  7. Retrieve meeting materials, crates, boxes, etc. from the receiving dock and store them safely and properly, ensuring to log them where appropriate.
  8. Ensure the storeroom is clean and orderly.
  9. Maintain 5 diamond service standards and embody the mission and value of the resort.
  10. Provide lateral service wherever necessary in the hotel and assist with projects as needed.
  11. Maintain a cooperative and professional demeanor to peers, supervisors, and guests.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  1. One year of purchasing experience in the hospitality industry.
  2. Knowledge of Food & Beverage products (i.e. meats, poultry, seafood, dry-goods).
  3. Ability to lift heavy objects.
  4. Experience with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.

Compensation:
Base Pay Start Rate: $20.00
