Job description

A Manufacturing client of ours is looking for a Purchasing Manager to their company in Mildenhall, Bury-St-Edmunds. Paying £16.83-£21.63 per hour DOE (£35,000 - £45,000pa) working on-site Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.


This is a standalone role, ideal for someone confident managing procurement and stock independently. You'll be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels across depots.


Key Duties include but are not limited to:
  1. Place timely and cost-effective orders for raw materials
  2. Maintain and build strong, trustworthy relationships with all suppliers
  3. Independently manage purchasing and inventory levels across multiple depots
  4. Monitor usage trends and forecast future requirements
  5. Ensure accurate records and inventory data
  6. Liaise with internal teams to understand production demands and delivery schedules

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Purchasing Manager position:
  1. Experience in a purchasing or procurement role (manufacturing background a bonus)
  2. Strong negotiation skills
  3. Knowledge of ERP system
  4. Advanced level of computer literacy
  5. Ability to work in a fast moving/ high pressure environment
