Purchasing Manager

As the Purchasing Manager, working in partnership with delivery teams, you will lead the management of the relationship across key strategic partners involved in the delivery of our capital build programme, applying best practice Supplier Relationship Management tools and techniques to ensure the business and supply chain goals, vision, and values are aligned to maximize relationship value. You will be able to suggest and develop new ways of working that challenge current paradigms.

Responsibilities:

1. Work in partnership with internal stakeholders and supply chain partners to ensure best practice on an operational, relationship, and strategic level.
2. Act as an escalation point in the event of concerns, ensuring coordination of resolving parties, effective communication to stakeholders, and post-incident reviews.
3. Drive agreement and oversight of relationship improvement plans to maximize relationship value, ensuring actions are followed through to completion in a timely manner.
4. Conduct supply chain business reviews and provide transparency on stakeholder satisfaction, supply chain performance, financial management, and contract compliance.
5. Support and align with stakeholders to drive a 360 relationship strategy and create mutually agreed Relationship Plans reflecting long and short-term objectives, governance structure, and other relevant vendor relationship aspects.

You will be an excellent communicator, highly influential, and able to manage expectations of senior stakeholders. With strong commercial acumen, problem-solving skills, and an analytical mindset, you will be confident in creating presence while driving outcomes with overall stakeholders and suppliers.
