Job description

JT Recruit are currently looking for Purchasing and Planning Coordinator on behalf of our client in Huthwaite, NG17. This role is a temp to perm role working Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.


Key responsibilities:
  1. Run and analyse Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to determine raw material, component, and supply needs.
  2. Review MRP outputs and forecast data to generate timely and accurate purchase orders.
  3. Process internal purchase requisitions and convert them into supplier orders.
  4. Monitor and follow up on order confirmations, shipments, and delivery timelines.
  5. Work closely with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries, resolve issues, and manage lead times.
  6. Collaborate with production planners to align material supply with production schedules.
  7. Maintain up-to-date and accurate purchasing data in the ERP system.
  8. Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels and avoiding shortages or excesses.
  9. Support vendor evaluation processes and contribute to supplier performance reviews.
  10. Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with company policies and quality standards.
  11. Participate in supply chain improvement initiatives, particularly in streamlining procurement and planning processes.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Familiarity with ERP systems and MRP processes. Ideally experience with SAP system.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  4. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Period with salary at £26K per year and bonus plan after 12 months depending on achievements. Plan to increase the salary up to £32K as time served.
