Job description

The Role

This is a full time position based at the Lichfield Road Industrial Estate in Tamworth.

The successful candidate will be required to be on site from Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and working within a busy Purchasing and Customer Service Team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to take ownership of the role.

Key Duties Would Include

  • Placing and progressing purchase orders
  • Checking confirmations, pricing, delivery information, etc
  • Booking freight
  • Liaising with warehouses
  • Checking specifications and maintaining the system that is in place
  • Booking in stock
  • Interacting with Team members and Supply Partners to ensure appropriate information is shared
  • Assisting with holiday cover within the team
  • Duties are not limited to the above and the role may alter depending on experience.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have relevant experience of a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Have exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under own initiative
  • Be able to adhere to strict deadlines
  • Have a good understanding of Maths, English and IT skills
  • Be eager to learn and develop new skills
