A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be part of a successful international organisation. This company prides itself on its continuous development and improvement of processes and production equipment. They are currently undertaking their next phase of recruitment and therefore require a purchasing assistant to support their well-balanced procurement team working in a highly professional and regulated industry.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sourcing, purchasing and expediting mechanical, electrical, and steel components, equipment, consumables and technical services.
  • Order consumable items and control the supply of consignment stock.
  • Build close working relationships with departments e.g. Sales and Spares, Engineering and Production, and Accounts.
  • Ensure pricing information is kept up to date and progress orders through the purchasing cycle to ensure timely placing of orders.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience in supplier management.
  • A strong engineering and mechanical purchasing background.
  • Computer literate and always provide professional customer service.
