  • Proven experience in a purchasing role within a volume manufacturing plant.
  • Good level of computer/ERP literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Job description

Mission: To provide operational level purchasing administration support to the Residential Controls Segment, including:

  1. Direct parts purchasing
  2. Indirect parts purchasing and management, including services and capital.
  3. Supplier management

Key responsibilities:

  1. To create and manage purchase orders.
  2. To support the procurement/planning team to ensure the timing and accurate supply of Purchased parts within the plant.
  3. To assist and provide cover for the Planning of Manufacturing schedules.
  4. To monitor stock levels and coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams.
  5. To provide and support specification changes to materials and components as driven by any department/function within the plant.
  6. To maintain accurate records and documentation.
  7. To provide operational support in the procurement and management of all indirect purchase areas including services and capital.

Skills and attributes:

  1. Proven experience in a Purchasing role within a volume manufacturing plant.
  2. Good level of computer/ERP literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  3. Firm understanding of cross-functional inter-dependencies (operations, finance, supply chain).
  4. Strong analytical and communication skills.
  5. Able to collaborate effectively with others to achieve objectives.

Education:

Ideally working towards or CIPS qualified.
