Purchasing Assistant - 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Full-time, Permanent

What is a Purchasing Assistant at Prinova?

You will manage and perform purchasing administration tasks for the company according to standard operating procedures. You will source new and alternative suppliers under the supervision of the Procurement Manager. You will work in a team of 4.

What to expect?

  • You will be responsible for purchasing materials required as highlighted through MRP and forecasting/operation plans
  • Expediting orders and updating the info on ASC for Warehouse, MRP, and Accounts
  • Inventory Management for raw materials and packaging
  • Negotiating and managing site contracts
  • Sourcing new and alternative suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement Manager
  • Liaising with Project Managers, Innovation, and Quality in relation to key projects
  • Liaising with Freight Forwarders for clearance and delivery of raw materials
  • Chasing information from suppliers, sales, and project teams where necessary for key projects
  • Support for business reporting
  • Cover for Procurement Manager when out of office
  • Monthly Price File coordination
  • Data cleansing and system maintenance
  • Other admin activities to support Purchasing Function

Does this sound like you?

  • You have a CIPS qualification (or working towards)
  • You have strong communication skills - phone, written, and in-person
  • You have the ability to organise your own workload
  • You are systems focused and computer literate
  • You are intermediate level on Microsoft Excel (Advanced level desirable)
  • Experience using other Office 365 applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • You are tenacious with a drive to deliver the best results for the company
  • Team player, able to work as part of a team providing help and support to others both within the department and the organization as a whole
