For the successful Purchase Ledger Assistant, our client is offering:
- Salary up to £25,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday 8.30 am till 5.00 pm
- Permanent position
- Benefits: Free parking, 20 days + Bank Holidays + Pension
The role - Purchase Ledger Assistant:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding to the ledger.
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining the purchase ledger system, ensuring all data is up to date.
- Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
- Monitor accounts payable inbox and handle incoming correspondence.
- Additional administration duties as instructed by the line manager.
What our client is looking for in a Purchase Ledger Assistant:
- Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger/accounts payable role.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel - DESIRABLE.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail - ESSENTIAL.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Able to cope under pressure.
Key skills or similar job titles: Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Purchase Ledger Assistant.
