ABOUT THIS ROLE
As Publisher Relations Specialist - Australia & UK you will oversee publisher relationships, merchandising and catalogue performance for our audiobook vendors primarily in Australia, but also in the UK, on an 18 month contract.

As Publisher Relations Specialist - Australia & UK, you will:

  1. Maintain and develop strong day-to-day relations with our publishing partners across Australia, preparing and presenting business reviews, and supporting vendor negotiations with your leadership.
  2. Coordinate between publishing partners and internal marketing teams to facilitate the execution of marketing and editorial initiatives, including collating publisher slates, setting up editorial features, newsletters, blog posts, and driving creative campaigns to promote partner content.
  3. Drive the coordination of assets for merchandising and support the process optimisation.
  4. Conduct and leverage analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators to improve the quality and quantity of our catalogues by ever improving relationships to our publishing partners.
  5. Collaborate with Audible cross-functional teams including Content Operations, Content Creation, Finance, Legal and PR to achieve Audible business goals.
  6. Be able to work flexible hours several days a week (e.g. 6am start) to enable fruitful discussions with AU-based teams and Australian vendors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the Australian or UK Publishing Industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative with teams and individuals across the institution, experience in working in matrix environments.
  • Resourceful self-starter who will find opportunities rather than wait for inbound leads.
  • A well-developed network into key partners in the Australia or UK book publisher landscape.
  • Proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent level in data analysis and numeracy skills (Excel) enabling to evaluate revenue projections, cost structures, and profitability metrics.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
