PR and Media Contractor

Manchester - Hybrid (2/3 day split)

3 month duration – potentially extending to 6 months

Up to £320 per day - full time

The Company

Oscar Digital have partnered with a non-profit transport company, passionate about improving the strategic transport networks around the country. This company analyse the infrastructure of the transport system and the effect this has on quality of life, as well as the economic state.

The Role

They are looking for a PR & Media Contractor to manage day to day public relations activities, including events, political engagement and press. You will play a key role in shaping how this company is perceived by the media, stakeholders, and the public. From developing media campaigns to crafting compelling press releases, you’ll be at the heart of communications activity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day management of PR activities.
  • Work with the stakeholder manager to design and execute a media and PR strategy.
  • Act as a first point of contact for media enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, broadcasters, and media outlets.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile regular reports and analysis.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a PR role
  • Experience in the transport sector (desirable)
  • Experience working in the public sector (desirable)
