Job description

We are now seeking PTS Sentinel Shuttering Carpenters to join our clients on their new project. Days, nights and weekend shifts available.

Duration: 12 - 18 months

Skills and Requirements:

• CSCS or NPORS
• PTS (Personal Track Safety)
• In date NWR Medical
• NWR Drug and Alcohol test with a negative result within the past 3 months, or be willing to have one.
• Must have 2 checkable references
• Proof of right to work in UK
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Role and Responsibilities:

Projects are varied, and duties could include general groundworks, laying foundations, trough laying, walkway construction and building retaining walls. All roles are hands-on and involve working outside in all weather conditions.

• Working with building materials on a construction site and responsible for shaping and cutting materials.
• Matching materials to the requested design specifications and building measurements, before combining carpentry work with joining work to complete the job.
• Responsible for making shutters and assembling system form-work for structures such as columns, beams, slabs, walls, foundations and other similar structures.
• Setting out the work area, following engineering plans. Using hand and power tools to cut plywood, wood and assemble shutters/boxes and panels using screws.
• Reading of drawings/projects/plans in English and independent work are mandatory.
