Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced COSS (Controller of Site Safety) for an immediate start, covering the E.London, Kent & West Sussex areas.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained on site, facilitating a secure working environment for all personnel.
This is a fantastic opportunity for long term work with plenty of weekends & overtime available.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage site safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
  3. Coordinate with site management and teams to ensure safe work practices are followed.
  4. Provide training and guidance to site personnel on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  5. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety on site.
  6. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and safety training sessions.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid COSS (Controller of Site Safety) certification.
  2. You must have a Primary Sponsor.
  3. Valid Drug and Alcohol (D&A) test completed within the last 3 months.
  4. Minimum of 2 professional references.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Previous experience in a COSS role.
  2. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.

Work Schedule:

  1. Weekend shifts available; both day and night shifts are offered.
  2. Flexibility to work varied hours as required by project demands.
  3. Plenty of overtime will be available.
