Position: Secondary Psychology Teacher
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if possible)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (Depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Psychology teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking an outstanding and motivated Secondary Psychology Teacher to join our dynamic team at a well-established secondary school in Reading. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Psychology education to students at KS4 and KS5 levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Psychology to students at GCSE and A-Level.
  2. Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students’ academic and personal growth.
  3. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  4. Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum and school initiatives.
  5. Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  6. Work collaboratively with other members of the department to share best practices and resources.
The Ideal Candidate:
  1. Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject.
  3. Passion for Psychology and teaching, with a strong commitment to student success.
  4. Experience teaching Psychology at secondary level (GCSE and A-Level preferred).
  5. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
