Teacher of Psychology

Temporary, Summer Term

Teaching Personnel works in partnership with a number of secondary schools across the Portsmouth area. One school in particular is currently seeking a Teacher of Psychology to support throughout the summer term. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

This role will be on a two-weekly rotating timetable:

Week A:

Monday all day

Thursday all day

Week B:

Monday all day

Wednesday am

Thursday all day

Friday am

  1. Deliver engaging and high-quality Psychology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  2. Follow a two-weekly rotating timetable, ensuring consistency in teaching and learning.
  3. Plan, assess, and support student progression in line with the curriculum.
  4. Work collaboratively with the department and wider school staff to enhance student outcomes.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  2. Degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  3. Experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and/or A-Level is desirable.
  4. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
  5. A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
