Psychology Graduate

TimePlan Education are recruiting Psychology Graduates to support a number of schools across Surrey and SouthWest London as Teaching Assistants. Your role will be to support pupils with different SEND needs, some needs you will be supporting are Severe Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs, Autism and ADHD. Experience in supporting pupils with SEND needs is desirable but is not essential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Know and implement or be willing to learn best approaches to supporting pupils with various Learning Difficulties
  • Ability to engage and support pupils
  • Supervise pupils' behaviour
  • Get to know pupils
  • Work with the classroom teacher to best support the class

Job Requirements

  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND needs is desirable but is not essential
  • Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging behaviour
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 2-5 days a week and able to commit to at least 2-3 months
