The role involves working with vulnerable students to increase their engagement, attainment, and life chances, aiming to prevent them from entering the criminal justice system. As an Aspiring Probation Officer / Prison Officer, you will collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and various associated social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and traumas. You will identify risks and needs of children and young people who have faced adverse childhood experiences and escalate concerns when necessary. Your work will be instrumental in providing consistency and equipping these individuals with the tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and capable of succeeding in life.
