Psychology Graduate - Aspiring Probation Officer - Flexible Work - Epsom

This role will provide essential restorative experience within anti-social and challenging settings, making it a perfect opportunity for those aspiring to work in probation, rehabilitation, prison, youth, and social justice. Based on holistic and therapeutic practice with a focus on restorative methods, this position is ideal for Criminology and Psychology graduates in Epsom.

The role involves working with vulnerable students to increase their engagement, attainment, and life chances, aiming to prevent them from entering the criminal justice system. As an Aspiring Probation Officer / Prison Officer, you will collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and various associated social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and traumas. You will identify risks and needs of children and young people who have faced adverse childhood experiences and escalate concerns when necessary. Your work will be instrumental in providing consistency and equipping these individuals with the tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and capable of succeeding in life.

Additional Information:

  1. Start date: ASAP / January 2025, with trial days to ensure the role and school fit
  2. Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
  3. Salary: £85-£90 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 16:30, PAYE, term time only
  4. No previous experience required
  5. If you have a Psychology / Criminology / Social Science degree, this is an excellent use of your qualification
  6. You MUST have the right to work in the UK to apply - no Visa sponsorship
