Job description

Job title: PCV Mechanical Engineer
Location: Bolton
Hours: Varied Shifts, 4 days out of 7 (38 hours a week)
Reporting to: Engineering Manager.


As a PCV Mechanical Engineer, you will service, maintain, and repair our fleet in a safe, efficient, and economical manner to the required legal, regulatory, and company standards.


PCV Mechanical Engineer Duties:
  1. Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicle types.
  2. Diagnosing and rectifying all types of vehicle faults, using diagnostic equipment.
  3. MOT preparation.
  4. Repairing all vehicles as required to company and DVSA standards.
  5. Maintaining and completing vehicle and Company documentation.
  6. Liaising with the parts department to attain correct parts.
  7. Ensuring health & safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.

Advantageous Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Level 3 HGV City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience working in the automotive industry.
  3. PCV Licence or willingness to work towards acquiring this.
