Job description

Our client, based in East London, has an excellent opportunity in their PSH team and would like 6 people to start as soon as possible. The role combines the full range of private sector housing functions, including inspection of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO), especially dealing with Mandatory HMOs (high risk) and Additional HMOs (low risk), as well as inspection of disrepair properties throughout the borough.

They are looking for:

  1. Compliance Inspection Officer (up to £35p/h)
  2. Compliance Enforcement Officer (up to £45p/h)

To get the rates mentioned, you will need to have done that exact role for 4+ years for a Local Authority.

This role will require someone who is highly proficient within this remit. You will need to hold the HHSRS and have a minimum of 4 years' experience. For the enforcement roles, they need people with excellent knowledge in serving enforcement notices and prosecuting landlords. It is crucial that you have experience of proactive enforcement, doing raids, prosecutions, and CPNs, etc.

It is likely to be extended, but the initial contract will run for 3 months and is a full-time position.
