Overview

Join our team in a dynamic non-regulated employee benefits support role, where you'll deliver timely and accurate assistance to Associate Consultants, Consultants, and Management. You'll play a crucial part in supporting their work with corporate business protection and personal protection clients, involving regular client interactions and coordination with the administration team.

In this role, you will often serve as the primary contact for our clients, ensuring a seamless experience. Your commitment to providing a professional, high-quality service will not only meet but exceed the expectations of both internal and external clients, colleagues, and third parties.

How you'll make an impact

  • Responsible for supporting new business and renewals in conjunction with new business coordinates and/or client owners
  • Anticipates and responds to the needs and objectives of client, with a prompt and flexible approach to meet and exceed their expectations and ensure consistent delivery of outstanding service
  • Demonstrates good level and up to date technical pensions knowledge at all times, supporting clients as required within the designated Permitted Areas of Activity as confirmed by line management/Compliance
  • Provide proactive and effective support to Consultants and Management in all aspects of their work with clients
  • Maintains and develops strong relationships with clients
  • Develop effective internal and external relationships to assist in providing an efficient professional service to clients in line with service agreements and manage their expectations on work being undertaken
  • Assisting with the processing of applications through to implementation of policies, working closely with the client, Provider, client owner and administration teams
  • Provide support to clients on the telephone / in person, with new enquiries, client correspondence and information requests as necessary
  • Preparation and finalisation of client reports where required in conjunction with the client owner
  • Assisting client owners in monitoring income to ensure budget achieved and financial control over portfolio and client budgets
  • Proactively assisting the client owner in identifying and progressing new business/income opportunities with clients
  • Ensure adherence to the firm’s engagement and re-engagement procedures, with suitable protections in place
  • Maintaining a diary management system for yourself and client owner that enables efficient oversight and intra-team workflow
  • Management of timescales – ensure all client deadlines and service levels are met or client/management informed otherwise
  • Manage action points from meetings / matters arising
  • Carry out duties with our internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, including putting clients at the heart of our business
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the part of the business for which you are accountable for, demonstrably complies with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, including putting clients at the heart of our business. If shortcomings are identified, take responsibility for remedial action planning and action in conjunction with the relevant experts within the firm
  • Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business.

About You

Technical Knowledge

  • Good level of technical knowledge of protection products through appropriate industry exams and CPD, including products, markets, the required regulatory standards and their relevance to both
  • Maintains industry, sector and technical knowledge
  • Developing core skills around organisation, communication, questioning, listening, report writing
  • IT literate – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and relevant internal systems/databases
  • Ensures that individually and as a firm we “Treat Customers Fairly”

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience within similar role in Financial Services, or financial services administration
  • Good customer service and relationship building skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Excellent organisation skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Focus on client excellence, going the extra mile and anticipating client requirements.
