Job Summary

Macdonald & Company are delighted to be working with a family office who are seeking a skilled property professional to oversee the maintenance and operations of a residential portfolio on an international scale. You will join the team and take charge of ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of residential properties located across various international locations, with a particular focus in the UK and London. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact with a growing organisation.


Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance Oversight: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the entire residential portfolio, ensuring all properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery, competitive pricing, and timely completion of maintenance projects.
  3. Preventive & Reactive Maintenance: Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to proactively address issues and minimise disruptions, ensuring the longevity and value retention of the residential properties. Deal with property portfolio reactive maintenance, ensuring all maintenance items are logged.
  4. Budgeting and Cost Control: Collaborate with the finance team to develop maintenance budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control measures, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  5. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all residential properties meet regulatory requirements and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards, working closely with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  6. Asset Improvement: Work with the Property Director to continually refine and enhance procedures and achieve high levels of efficiency and quality. The overriding objective is to enhance value in the long-term, keep the property portfolio in good repair and minimise costly replacements.
  7. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  1. Experience of working within the Property industry
  2. Strong academic background with a minimum of 2:1 at degree level and top A level results.
  3. Sound technical knowledge/understanding relating to operating plant and equipment such as AC, boilers, electrics, lighting and control systems
  4. Experience managing super prime rentals and tenants
  5. Understand MEES regulations and sustainable energy sources
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Have the ability to work independently and to exercise discretion and good judgement
