Here at The Edinburgh Woollen Mill we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our property team based at our Distribution Centre at Kingmoor.

We are currently recruiting for a Property Manager to cover a substantial number of properties across the country but based out of our offices at Kingmoor Park, Carlisle. The successful candidate will be required to travel when required to support management in maintaining the Company’s property portfolio, whilst ensuring costs are within budget.

Job Overview

1. Plan preventative maintenance for all properties owned/leased by the Company and check day-to-day maintenance is up to date.
2. Produce technical reports following building surveys on planned and reactive maintenance.
3. Create specifications in relation to identified defects that comply with the relevant regulations.
4. Find appropriate contractors for maintenance work and ensure all work carried out is to the expected standards from start through to completion.
5. Ensure financial approval levels are adhered to at all times and monitor all invoices.
6. Communicate with consultants and landlords to ensure building regulations are met and project requirements are delivered effectively.
7. To retain a log of calls and maintenance issues and prioritize tasks as necessary.
8. To be available outside of office hours for emergency cover.
9. Additional ad hoc duties that may arise.

Job Requirements

1. Previous experience in surveying as well as building and construction preferred but not essential.
2. Property Maintenance experience is desired.
3. The successful candidate must be willing to undertake further training for continued development.
4. Understanding of Health & Safety, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
