Property Damage Solicitor - Birmingham

The Birmingham commercial insurance team of one of our leading law firm clients is looking to strengthen its offering with the recruitment of a solicitor or legal executive with anything from 0 PQE to roughly 4 PQE, though any level of PQE will be considered by the Partners.

• Salary: £42,000 to £45,000
• Work Pattern: Hybrid
• Reports to: Partner
• Experience: Seeking candidates at all PQE levels with litigation experience, particularly in property damage and subrogated recoveries.

An Expanding Team in the Birmingham Market

The team is growing its offering in the Birmingham market and, as such, offers fantastic opportunities to progress. Lawyers represent a number of key insurer clients and corporates. The team has been expanding for a number of years now and is set for further development in 2025.

Range of Insured Perils

The team handles all manner of contentious commercial insurance work. Examples of work include:

• Instructions from a range of insured perils such as fire and flood damage;
• High-value construction-related disputes;
• Intricate cases involving assets stolen through fraud, involving injunctive relief. This includes work for corporate crime insurers.
• High-profile property liability cases related to acts of terror.

The team prides itself in advising sophisticated in-house teams on some of the most complex pieces of insurance litigation. They also provide training to in-house teams including seminars and workshops.

Ideal Candidates

The Partners are looking for candidates with strong technical ability. Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills are also highly prized.
