Job description

Property Compliance Manager in Epworth House, Derby

Permanent - 37 hours per week - Monday - Friday

Hybrid working model

Up to £60,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced, conscientious, solution focused, dynamic, and forward-thinking Property Compliance Manager to join the Risk Management team at MHA.

Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders throughout the business the main purpose of the role is to:
  1. develop and maintain appropriate Property Compliance related policies and robust procedures that provide effective assurance that MHA comply with all property compliance obligations.
  2. coordinate, check and validate data and documentation to ensure statutory property compliance is met across all disciplines in respect of domestic and commercial properties.
  3. ensure that all property compliance inspection programmes are planned to agreed timescales and monitored to ensure that MHA properties are compliant with appropriate regulations, landlord's statutory requirements and industry best practice.
  4. contribute to and assist in the oversight and evaluation of contractor performance delivering compliance safety checks, inspections, and servicing programmes across all disciplines.
  5. provide solution focused advice and guidance to colleagues in relation to property compliance.
  6. lead and manage the Compliance team to ensure delivery of key functional objectives and day-to-day activities. Effectively deploy resources to ensure compliance expertise is focused on value-adding activities.
  7. work in liaison with the Health & Safety Team to align key internal processes and enable consistent, solution focused advice and guidance.

We offer the flexibility of remote working and travel to head office in Derby will be required. There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to our sites in England and Wales.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of landlord duties and, ideally, have a background of working in relevant care/housing sectors, hold a Nebosh General or equivalent qualification as well as a relevant technical/trade qualification in construction and building services.
