Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Project Worker to join their residential team. This role involves providing consistent, structured care for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism. You will work night shifts to ensure 24-hour support and build meaningful connections with the youth. Ideal candidates will have experience with children with additional needs, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate attitude. Qualifications

Job description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with learning disabilities and/or autism?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and committed Project Worker to join our dedicated residential team supporting young people with additional needs.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Providing consistent, structured care and support in line with individual support plans.
  2. Working waking night shifts, including weekends, to ensure 24-hour support for young people.
  3. Building strong, professional relationships based on empathy, acceptance and understanding.
  4. Supporting young people with learning disabilities and/or autism, including those who may present behaviours that challenge.
What We're Looking For:
  1. Experience working directly with children and young people - particularly those with additional needs - is highly desirable.
  2. Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide structure, reliability, and consistency.
  3. A compassionate, resilient attitude and a commitment to building meaningful connections with young people.
  4. A relevant qualification at SCQF Level 7 (e.g. SVQ3 in Children and Young People) and HNC in Social Services, or the willingness to work towards these (funding support may be available).
  5. SSSC registration or eligibility to register as part of employment.
