Summary

We have opportunity for passionate, positive, and motivated individuals to join our Caerphilly Substance Misuse project as a Project Worker on a full-time, permanent basis.


Overview

It is essential that the successful candidate holds a drivers licence and has access to a vehicle.


Where does the role fit in?

You will be based at one of our Substance Misuse Supported Accommodation services in Caerphilly, which offer specialised housing solutions for individuals who are homeless and tackling substance or alcohol misuse issues. In your role, you will support our customers on their recovery journey, with the goal of helping them transition into their own tenancies and live independently. Everyone we support is committed to achieving abstinence or participating in a detox program. Our services provide an ideal environment for recovery, featuring tranquil surroundings and beautiful gardens.


What is great about this role?

This is a highly engaging and rewarding role where you would play a significant part in the people we support’s journey to recovery by delivering the crucial support needed within a 24-hour support setting.


Your Day Will Consist Of

  1. Engaging and interacting with the people we support
  2. Writing/following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
  3. Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
  4. Liaising with external agencies
  5. Addressing any additional needs the people we support might have

Our motivation is to ensure we equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role, and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse clientele.


What are the pay and benefits?

  1. Full-time (37 hrs), Permanent position
  2. Base: We have three services in the Caerphilly area (Blackwood & Caerphilly town) – your base location will be discussed at interview
  3. Competitive salary of £26,072.00 + £51.11 for each sleep-in shift.
  4. Shift patterns: 4 week rolling rota, which includes sleep-in shifts and day shifts
  5. An enhanced DBS is required for this role which we will pay for
  6. 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
  7. Pension scheme

  9. Bespoke learning pathway with the support from an experienced Learning and Development team
  10. Internal Progression
  11. Wellbeing and psychological support

  13. 45p per mile
