Lincolnshire Adult and Older Adult Community Transformation Programme is an exciting and innovative programme of work which seeks to enable transformational change in community mental health services, embedding a Trauma Informed Care approach to embed new ways of working that promote self-efficacy, provide high quality specialist care and develops an accessible and integrated continuum of care benefiting people and their communities.

The Community Mental Health Transformation Programme is looking to recruit to an enthusiastic and motivated Project Support Officer on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a variety of transformation projects, making a real difference to patient’s outcomes and experience.

As a key member of the team that is leading out the programme and working closely with the transformation project leads, you will be required to provide project and administrative support to workstream areas, local teams and stakeholders to support the delivery of project plans, including taking the day to day lead on agreed initiatives.

Main duties of the job

You will have experience of operating as part of a busy project and programme management team and a good level of knowledge and understanding of project processes and methodology. You will be required to assist in project planning and the monitoring of plans to ensure the project remains on target, highlighting and escalating any issues and risks proactively. You will be required to have a good level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across a variety of service areas and clinical teams with a broad range of stakeholders, be able to build and maintain good working relationships, across all system partners.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post-holder will:

  1. Support the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme Team with timely, efficient and effective delivery of projects.
  2. Provide administration support for project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques for the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme.
  3. Provide project support to local teams and stakeholders to support the delivery of project plans, including taking the day to day lead on agreed initiatives.
  4. Track and report progress and performance of a number of projects and tasks to the required programme meetings.

Person specification

Qualifications

  • Qualifications at degree level through formal qualification or equivalent experience supported by extensive CPD portfolio
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Experience

  • Relevant previous work experience within a comparable role
  • Recent previous experience of working within a customer focused environment
  • Previous experience of working within defined project management/secretarial/administrative procedures
  • Previous experience of working within one or more of the following areas: mental health services, community/primary care, prescribing, long term conditions, financial planning, developing plans to deliver national and local priorities.
  • Partnership working – building effective relationships with different groups (internal and external) and partner agencies/organisations
  • Working in the NHS or other statutory organisation environment.
  • An appreciation and understanding of issues facing the NHS at local and national level

Skills

  • Enthusiasm and ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to analyse information and present analysis
  • Ability to produce clear and accessible reports
  • Knowledge of project management approaches such as PRINCE
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines.

Special Requirements

  • Ability to travel independently to locations across the county without the use of public transport.
