The Project Support Officer is responsible for excellent support services across all project portfolios within the Highways division; assisting with effective communication between project teams and stakeholders; and providing central support services to the unit.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
Act as the first point of contact in the division for internal and external customers, responding promptly to enquiries and complaints.
Manage filing and monitoring systems, including financial records, databases, and confirmations.
Provide support for projects, including assisting with internal and external meetings, coordinating the publication of documents (e.g. consultations, briefs, reports), and helping to ensure the division's web presence is updated and accurate.
Financial processing support including purchase orders, invoices, vendor creation etc., and maintain records when required, including the running of reports for senior managers with necessary data analysis e.g. of costs versus budgets.
Essential Experience Required:
Substantial experience of dealing with the public, resolving queries/problems or giving advice.
Experience of managing and monitoring administrative systems, including financial systems, databases, and filing systems.
Experience of producing reports to senior managers.
