About this opportunity

It’s a challenging and exciting time to work for Cumberland Council which has recently celebrated its first year in operation. We are looking for dynamic and motivated professionals to join us as part of the council’s Adults Social Care and Housing transformation team.
This role is a fantastic chance to make a difference, putting health and wellbeing at the centre of everything we do, building inclusive economy, having a fairer society, protecting our environment and ultimately, delivering great public services. As well as further developing your knowledge and experience, you will work across the full project lifecycle, supporting scoping, initiation, implementation, delivery and benefits realisation.

Cumberland’s Programme Management Office is within the Business Transformation and Change Directorate and supports ways of improving, governing, controlling, and assuring investment and change within the Council and the way in which we deliver services.

The post sits within the Programme Management Office and is matrix managed by Adults Social Care and Housing (ASCH) to support Community Health and Wellbeing within the ASCH transformation programme.

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for candidates with excellent organisation skills and a customer focussed approach, capable of managing multiple and competing priorities. This role provides project support to colleagues across the programme, providing support to manage and administer ASCH transformation projects.

Working closely with the Community Health and Wellbeing project teams providing professional project support through effective organisation, activity planning/monitoring, information management and project reporting. You will also offer project management advice, support, and guidance and tools to senior managers and service leads who are overseeing the projects and programmes.
