Job description

If you have experience as a Project Support Officer, then this role could be for you:

Data Improvement Project – Scope and carry out a discovery phase to look at improvements to Data across the Markets Group (FRC, CPRM and E&EI).

This particular role will support the Markets Data Improvement team, covering a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the programme’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support an effective PMO function.
  • Support with project and programme governance arrangements - arrange meetings, take minutes etc.
  • Provide business support and admin support as required – organise team away days; team meetings; room bookings; team inbox management; annual leave log; minutes.
  • Support the review of and implementation of the existing Project Management Framework and templates.
  • Support projects as required, as directed by management.
  • Support in the assessment of PMO tools and techniques and bring about positive change to how the PMO function operates.

Key Outputs and Deliverables

  • Support programme reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of PMO standards and processes.
  • Support key work streams, including organising meetings and minute taking within the project meetings.
  • Support risk management across the project/programme.
  • Update trackers/status reports, when required.

Key Stakeholder Relationships

Internal

  • Project Manager, Business Support Manager, Team Managers, Directorate Heads and Deputy Directors.
  • Collaborative relationships with teams, such as finance and legal.

External

  • Governmental departments.
  • Vendors and consultancies.
  • 3rd party providers.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Ensures the programme is compliant with Markets and Public sector governance.
  2. Ensures compliance with EPMO standards and processes.
  3. Designs, implements, and improves effective PMO processes that aid effective MDI programme delivery.
  4. Maintains all MDI programme artefacts in timely updates, quality and completeness including:
    1. PID
    2. Programme Plans
    3. RAID
    4. Reporting
    5. Stakeholder log
    6. RACI Matrix
    7. Action Tracker(s)
    8. SharePoint
    9. etc.
  5. Defines and/or supports execution of Programme Communications plan.
  6. Ensures reporting deadlines are met.
  7. Supports programme team by tracking actions to closure.
  8. Understands programme objectives and outcomes.
  9. Challenges effectively to improve quality of PMO artefacts and programme deliverables.

Deputises for Programme Manager as required.
