About the Role:

Our client are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team for a prestigious £10 million residential apartment development project in Rochdale. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing all cost aspects of the project, ensuring financial efficiency, and delivering exceptional value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of cost control for the project, including budget forecasting, cost reporting, and procurement.
• Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates, tendering, and contract management.
• Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and mitigating risks to the budget.
• Manage change orders, claims, and variations effectively.
• Collaborate closely with the project team, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Prepare and submit progress payment applications and reports.
• Maintain detailed project records, ensuring all financial documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within residential construction projects.
• Experience working on projects of £10 million or more in value.
• Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle from inception to completion.
• Excellent understanding of contract law, construction regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and the project team.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification (MRICS desirable).
• Competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £55,000, depending on experience.
