Job description

Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is a global market leader in the provision of the highest quality infrastructure solutions for supply throughout the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2025, they are now seeking to recruit an organised and experienced Project Planning Manager to oversee all aspects of proactive planning and delivery of multiple build projects while maintaining the highest levels of quality, customer service, and satisfaction provided by the refurbishment division.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful Project Planning Manager candidate will be responsible for the preparation, planning, and logistics of temporary build solutions. They will be tasked with ensuring solutions are planned effectively and meet the highest quality standards while complying fully with industry regulations, meeting often pressurised timescales and deadlines, and remaining within budget.

To be considered for this varied and genuinely challenging role within a market-leading environment where no day is ever the same, it is envisaged that the successful Project Planning Manager will demonstrate considerable experience in planning, project, and people management—ideally gained within the construction industry, although other fast-paced technical environments will be considered, with experience in modular construction proving distinctly advantageous.

Essentially, you will possess strong leadership and team management skills and the ability to use your effective communication skills at all levels to engage with and influence customers, suppliers, and tradespeople (electricians, carpenters, etc.), along with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. You should be able to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously, being mindful of resources required, storage logistics, and deadlines in line with customer requirements.

Additionally, you will demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, proficiency in project management software and tools, and comprehensive knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations. A full clean UK driving licence is essential for the position, as there will be occasions where travel to sites may be required, including the Gloucester area Head Office.
